From Zanzibar: Mikumi 1-Day Safari with Scenic Flight & Lunch

Fly from Zanzibar and experience a real African safari — all in just one unforgettable day. Your adventure starts with an early hotel pickup around 6:00 AM (if you’ve chosen the option with hotel transfer; exact time confirmed the day before). At 7:00 AM, board a twin-engine plane for a safe and comfortable flight, enjoying stunning scenic views over the ocean and the vast plains of Mikumi National Park — often called the “mini Serengeti” for its incredible wildlife.

Upon your arrival at Kikoboga Airstrip at 8:00 AM, you’ll be greeted by your professional local safari guide. Together with a small group of no more than six guests, you’ll climb aboard a custom 4×4 safari jeep, specially designed with guaranteed panoramic views for the ultimate safari experience.

Your morning adventure will take you through varied terrain, where you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, antelopes — and with a bit of luck, even a leopard hiding in the bush. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating facts and stories about the animals and ecosystem, making the experience both exciting and educational.

Around 12:00–1:00 PM, enjoy a scenic buffet lunch at Bandas Restaurant inside the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. After lunch, set off on a second game drive to spot more wildlife before heading back to the airstrip around 3:00–4:00 PM for your return flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, if you’ve chosen the option with hotel transfer, a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to your hotel (approx. 6:00 PM)—ending a full and unforgettable day in the wild.

Drinks and light refreshments are available in the vehicle, and raincoats are provided in case of showers.
